Effective solutions to the bushfire problem

We seek lasting and effective solutions to the bushfire problem.
We seek solutions that are practical, economic and verifiable by science and logic. .
We define the bushfire problem as this:
Whenever a community suffers a severe bushfire attack, it loses houses. How can we protect the community from house loss, safely and consistently
Our solution will be realised when we can say this about all communities:
When a bushfire attacks a community, house loss will be prevented safely and consistently.
In the bushfire risk management situation, we can identify a number of measurable key performance indicators.
We see the following as reasonable Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to be tackled and reduced:
Death toll
House toll
Level of disruption / trauma to people or community
Government fire protection budgets or fire suppression costs
Insurance payouts
Area of land burnt by unplanned fires
We see the following as reasonable KPI’s to be tackled and increased:
Community empowerment
Community resilience
.
